Blog Union Sues Trump Over Official Time Executive Order

American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), a union representing federal employees, filed a complaint in U.S. District Court, District of Columbia yesterday. AFGE is seeking declaratory and injunctive relief with respect to a May 25, 2018 executive order, “Executive Order Ensuring Transparency, Accountability, and Efficiency in Taxpayer Funded Union Time Use.”

Updates: On June 1, AFSCME joined AFGE’s lawsuit. Also on June 1, the National Treasury Employees Union filed a similar complaint in U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia.
