Digital Communications Manager: Harrisburg, PA or Virtual
The Digital Communications Manager will help the Fairness Center’s clients win in the court of public opinion. The Manager will tell compelling client stories across paid, social, and owned media while raising awareness of the firm’s free legal services among key audiences. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator and highly organized self-starter who brings sound judgment, initiative, and a keen eye for detail and precision.
This is a full-time position reporting the Fairness Center’s Vice President of Communications. The Manager will ideally work from the firm’s Harrisburg, PA office. However, exceptional candidates with a demonstrated record of success working remotely may be considered for a fully remote arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Owned Media
- Update website with case developments and media placements
- Implement SEO/GEO best practices on new and existing pages
- Update news aggregation pages
- Track and analyze web traffic
- Create and send internal and external mass emails and distribute related reports
- Social Media
- Maintain social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Create, post, and promote graphics, clips, and copy that aligns with the firm’s brand and clients’ goals—often based on news media coverage
- Target key audiences and monitor performance
- Marketing
- Create paid campaigns promoting clients’ cases and the firm’s services to target audiences
- Assist in creating campaign collateral, including landing pages, videos, and graphics
- Drive traffic to case and landing pages
- Evaluate performance to improve results and show impact
Essential Characteristics
The Manager must demonstrate excellent communication skills, rigorous attention to detail, and desire to learn and apply new skills. Creativity, drive, and commitment to excellence are key to success in this role.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a communications, marketing, or related field
- Commitment to the Fairness Center’s mission
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, WordPress or other content management systems, email marketing and social media platforms
- Ability to learn new systems and tools to propel long-term impact

Summer Associate: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
A paid ($15,000 for 2Ls, $10,000 for 1Ls), ten-week summer associate position for a current law student to explore a career in public interest law. Summer associates work with our litigators to serve clients across the country who have had their constitutional and statutory rights violated by public-sector union officials. First- or second-year students are invited to apply. Applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and law school transcript (first-year students must have first semester grades). Applications accepted on a rolling basis; deadline to apply is January 31, 2026.
